Bob Dylan Receives Nation’s Highest Honour
It was announced this past week that Bob Dylan will be one of twelve people awarded the United States highest honour for a civilian, the President’s Medal of Freedom. Also, it especially recognizes his contribution to the civil rights movement of the nineteen-sixties and helping to form the rich culture of America for decades. Few songwriters have done more for the advocacy of all kinds of freedom than Bob Dylan. He has been writing and performing around the world for over half a century and to this day still performs numerous times every year all around the world. The ceremony will take place later this spring at the White House. Receiving this honour with Dylan is the profound and celebrated author, Toni Morrison among many other great Americans.
